<br />mentioned was a citizen of the United States, over
<br />the age of twenty-one years, and that ... ;.... he
<br />is not a party to, nor interested in the above
<br />entitled matter; that--a----he is the principal clerk
<br />of the printer of the Colton Courier, a newspaper
<br />of general circulation, printed and published in
<br />the City of Colton, State of California, County of
<br />San Bernardino, and which newspaper is published
<br />for the dissemination of local news and intelli-
<br />gence of a general character, and which newspaper
<br />at all the times herein mentioned had and still
<br />has a bona fide subscription list of paying sub-
<br />scribers, and which newspaper has been estab-
<br />lished, printed and published at regular intervals
<br />in the said City of Colton, State of California,
<br />County of San Bernardino, for a period exceeding
<br />one year next preceding the date of publication of
<br />the notice hereinafter referred to; and which news-
<br />paper is not devoted to nor published for the in-
<br />terests, entertainment or instruction of a particular
<br />class, profession, trade, calling, race, or denomin-
<br />ation, or any number of some; that the notice, of
<br />which the annexed is a printed copy, has ' been
<br />published in each regular and entire issue of said
<br />newspaper and not in any supplement thereof on

<br />have been first obtained. Failure to
<br />obtain a permit within 24 hours after
<br />commencement of such work shall
<br />result in a penalty of double fees.
<br />30.1 Fees - New construction and
<br />additions. Permit issuance fee - $4.00
<br />plus $.01 per ampere for each ser-
<br />vice switch 600 volts or less; $.05 per
<br />ampere for each service switch in
<br />excess of 600 volts. In addition the
<br />following fees shall apply to each
<br />type of construction:
<br />$.03 per square ft.
<br />a. Gasoline service station
<br />buildings.
<br />b. Drinking or dining establish-
<br />ments.
<br />c. Power plants — pumping
<br />plants.
<br />$.01 per square ft.
<br />a. Woodworking establishments,
<br />planing mills.
<br />b. Steel mills, factories.
<br />C. Manufacturing plants,
<br />assembly plants.
<br />d. Gasoline service station open
<br />canopies.
<br />e. Repair garages, aircraft
<br />repair hangars.
<br />I. Ice plants, cold storage plants.
<br />g. Creameries, bakeries, food
<br />processing plants.
<br />h. Hotels, motels, apartment
<br />houses,lodging houses.
<br />i. Dwellings.
<br />$.0075 per square ft.
<br />a. Office buildings.
<br />b. Stores, markets (wholesale or
<br />retail).
<br />c. Hospitals, sanitariums,
<br />convalescent hospitals.
<br />d. Nursing homes, child nur-
<br />series.
<br />e. Schools.
<br />f. Churches, assembly buildings.
<br />g. Amusement park structures.
<br />h. Any occupancy not listed.

<br />building, attached or detached, such
<br />as private garages, carports, sheds,
<br />etc.
<br />b. Hotel, motel and commercial
<br />parking garages and carports.

<br />cluding 5,000 sq. ft.

<br />a. Warehouses that part which
<br />is over 5,000 sq. ft.
<br />b. Storage garages where no
<br />repair work is done.
<br />c. Aircraft hangars where no
<br />repair work is done.
<br />30.2 Alterations and Additions.
<br />Where no structural work is being
<br />done, or where it is impractical to
<br />use the square footage schedule, use
<br />fee schedules 30.3 or 30.4.
<br />30 3 Minimum Total Fee For an
<br />of this ordinance or of the Codes
<br />adopted herein shall be deemed
<br />guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
<br />conviction thereof shall be
<br />punishable by a fine of not more than
<br />five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by
<br />imprisonment for a period of not
<br />more than six months, or by both
<br />such fine and imprisonment. Each
<br />person, firm or corporation shall be
<br />deemed guilty of a separate offense
<br />for each day during any portion of
<br />which any violation of any
<br />provisions of this ordinance or said
<br />Codes is committed, continued or
<br />permitted by such person, firm or
<br />corporation and shall be punishable
<br />therefore, as provided by this or-
<br />dinance.
<br />SECTION 7. If any section, sub-
<br />section, sentence, clause or phrase
<br />of this ordinance or said Code is for
<br />any reason held to be invalid or
<br />unconstitutional by the decision of
<br />any court of competent jurisdiction,
<br />such decision shall not affect the
<br />validity of the remaining portions of
<br />said Ordinance or Code. The Mayor
<br />and Common Council of the City of
<br />Colton hereby declare that They
<br />would have passed said ordinance
<br />and Code, and each section, sub-
<br />section, sentence, clause and phrase
<br />thereof, irrespective of the fact that
<br />any one or more other sections,
<br />subsections, clauses or phrases be
<br />declared invalid or unconstitutional.
<br />SECTION 8. Ordinance No. 1345 is
<br />hereby repealed.
<br />SECTION 9. This ordinance shall
<br />take effect and be in force from and
<br />after its approval as required by
<br />law.
<br />SECTION 10. The City Clerk shall
<br />certify to the passage of this Or-
<br />dinance and shall cause the same to
<br />be published once in the Colton
<br />Courier, a newspaper of general
<br />circulation in the City of Colton.
