debbie 3 proofs i asap 206 ORDINANCE NO. 1437 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A FILING FEE FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTIVE OFFICES OF SAID CITY. WHEREAS, there are costs in processing a candidates nomination paper for an elective office at municipal elections held in the City of Colton; and WHEREAS, Section 22843 of the Elections Code of the State of California authorizes a City Council to impose a filing fee proportionate to the costs of processing a can- didate's nomination paper but not exceeding 825.00: NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. Afiling feeof 825.00 is hereby established for candidate's nomination papers for elective of- fices at municipal elections held in the City of Colton. SECTION 2. The filing fee shall be paid to the City Clerk by each candidate for an elective office at the time the candidate's nomination paper is filed with the City Clerk. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall pay to the City Treasurer all fees received which shall be deposited in the General Fund. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or- dinance and shall cause the same to be published in the Colton Courier within fifteen days after its passage and said ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its final passage.
