1 2 31 I 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 i 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ORDINANCE NO. 1459 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING'"STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION", 1973 EDITION, REGULATING MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION AND THEIR USE IN THE ERECTION, INSTALLATION, ALTERATION, REPAIR, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF COLTON; PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINIS- TRATION OF CONTRACTS AS WELL AS PERMITS ISSUED IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH IMPROVEMENTS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The provisions of the 1973 edition of the "Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction", prepared and promulgated by the Southern California Chapters of the Amer Public Works Association and the Associated General Contractors ofi California, are adopted and applicable to all public works con- struction undertaken after the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION II. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, install, alter, repair, remove, convert, demolish, or construct any public works improvements in the City of Colton or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in viola- tion of any of the provisions of these standard specifications. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this code is committed, continued, or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation such person shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $300.00 or by im- prisonment of not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
