i <br />1 SECTION 3. LICENSES: REQUIRED. <br />2 It shall be unlawful for any person to transact and <br />3 carry on any business, trade, profession, calling, or occupation <br />4 in the City without first having procured a license so to do <br />51and without complying with any and all applicable provisions <br />6 of this chapter. The provisions of this section shall not be <br />7 construed to require any person to obtain a license prior to <br />8 doing business within the City if such requirement conflicts with <br />9 applicable laws of the United States or of the State. Persons <br />10notso required to obtain a license prior to doing business within <br />11 the City shall nevertheless be liable for the payment of the <br />12 <br />taxes imposed by the provisions of this chapter. <br />131 <br />SECTION 4. LICENSES: APPLICATION FORMS. <br />14 <br />15 Upon making application for the first license to be <br />16' issued pursuant to the provisions of this article or for a newly <br />17 established business, the applicant shall furnish to the Collector, <br />18 setting forth the following information: <br />19 (a) The exact nature or kind of business for which a <br />20 license is requested; <br />21 <br />(b) The place where such business is to be carried on, <br />22 <br />23 and if the business is not to be carried on at any permanent <br />24 place of business, the place of residence of the owner of such <br />25 business; <br />261 (c) In the event the application is made for the <br />27 issuance of a license to a person doing business under a <br />28 fictitious name, the name and place of residence of the person <br />29 owning the business; <br />30 <br />31 (d) In the event the application is made for the <br />32 issuance of a license to a corporation or a partnership, the <br />-4- <br />
