In accordance with the provisions of the California Community <br />Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Sections 33000, et seq.), the City Council of <br />the City of Colton, California ("City Council"), established the Redevelopment Agency for <br />the City of Colton ("Agency"); <br />B. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 1478, adopted on July 29, 1975, the City Council <br />approved the Redevelopment Plan for the Cooley Ranch Redevelopment Project No. 4 <br />("Redevelopment Plan"); <br />C. The Redevelopment Plan was subsequently amended pursuant to City Council <br />Ordinance No. 1559, adopted on January 16, 1979; <br />D. The Redevelopment Plan was further subsequently amended pursuant to City <br />Council Ordinance No. 1574, adopted on December 18, 1979; <br />E. The Redevelopment Plan was further subsequently amended pursuant to that <br />certain Amendment No. 3 to the Redevelopment Plan for the Cooley Ranch Redevelopment <br />Project No. 4, adopted by City Council Ordinance No. 0-8-86, on June 3, 1986 ("Amended <br />Redevelopment Plan"). The lands subject to the Amended Redevelopment Plan are referred <br />to as the "Project Area"; <br />F. The Agency is engaged in activities necessary to execute and implement the <br />Amended Redevelopment Plan; <br />G. Pursuant to new Health and Safety Code Section 33342.7, before July 1, 2007, <br />the City Council is required to adopt an ordinance describing the Agency's eminent domain <br />program ("Eminent Domain Program") under the Amended Redevelopment Plan; <br />H. Pursuant to new Health and Safety Code Section 33373 the Agency must <br />record in the official records of the County of San Bernardino, California, a revised statement <br />that proceedings for the redevelopment of the Project Area have been instituted ("Statement <br />of Proceedings"), including a description of the lands subject to the Amended Redevelopment <br />Plan and describing the provisions of the Amended Redevelopment Plan regarding exercise of <br />the power of eminent domain; <br />-1- <br />
