R-115-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $53,875.00 <br />FROM HOMELAND SECURITY AND AMEND THE 2007/2008 <br />FISCAL YEAR BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />2007 and ending June 30, 2008 was approved and adopted June 19, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 7, 2007, the Department of Homeland Security awarded a grant in <br />the amount of $53,875.00 to the City of Colton Police Department for the purchase of a Long <br />Range Acoustical Device on behalf of the San Bernardino County Law Enforcement Agencies. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to approve and accept this Department of Homeland <br />Security grant in the amount of $53,875.00 to the Revenue Account 225-5880-000. <br />SECTION 2. It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2007/2008 Fiscal Year <br />Budget, appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6086 for $53,875.00. <br />SECTION 3. The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated <br />herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
