R-63-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />DECLARING ITS INTENTION COLLECT MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND DISPOSAL <br />SERVICE RATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007/2008. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has by previous action entered into a service agreement <br />with Republic Services for the collection and disposal of residential and commercial waste <br />within the City of Colton. <br />WHEREAS, annual rates are adjusted to include any increases to the local CPI and San <br />Bernardino County disposal fees. <br />WHEREAS, the service rates for fiscal year 2007/2008 have been included as Exhibit <br />A to this Resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE CITY <br />COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Following notice duly given, the City Council has held a full and fair public hearing <br />regarding the collection of fiscal year 2007/2008 Municipal Solid Waste and Disposal <br />Service Rates for which a report was prepared in connection therewith, and considered <br />oral and written statements, protests and communications made or filed by interested <br />persons regarding these matters was heard. <br />2. Based upon its review of the report, the City Council hereby finds and determines that <br />Municipal Solid Waste and Disposal Services for fiscal year 2007/2008, beginning July <br />1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2008, be provided Colton property owners based upon the <br />rates attached hereto as Exhibit W. The rates for said Solid Waste Services includes is <br />not limited to: trash collection, trash disposal, yard waste collection and processing, <br />recycle collection and processing, and bulky -item collection. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY OF JUNE 2007. <br />KELLY J C ASTAIN <br />Mayor <br />ATT T: <br />CAROLINA R.
