R-72-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 5, 2007, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW. Whereas, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Colton, California on Tuesday, June 6, 2007, as required by law; and Whereas, notice of the Election was duly given in the time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general law cities; and Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. R-01-07 adopted January 3, 2007 and IResolution No. R-03-07 adopted January 16, 2007 the County Registrar of Voters canvassed I the returns of the election and has certified the results to this City Council, the results are I received, attached and made part hereof as Exhibit "A." NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, I I CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the whole number of ballots cast in the City as to the Special Municipal Election for Councilmember/District 3 to be elected to fill the unexpired term of the former incumbent, except absent voter ballots, was 238. That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in the City was 261, making a total of 760 ballots cast in the City. SECTION 2. That the names of persons voted for at the election for Council member/District 3 are as follows: KEN KOPERSKI JEREMY BACA LOUIE MENDEZ VINCENT YZAGUIRRE ANTONIO YANAS JR.
