R-124-08 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ADMINISTERING AGENCY - <br />FEDERAL MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 08-5065R AND PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT <br />AGREEMENT NO. 006-N. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the safety of <br />the school route along Valencia drive, Laurel Street, Bonita Drive, Oak Street, Norman Road, <br />and Pennsylvania Avenue near Grant Elementary and Colton Middle schools; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has received a Safe Route To <br />School (SRTS) Grant for the improvement of Valencia Drive, Laurel Street, Bonita Drive, Oak <br />Street, Norman Road, and Pennsylvania Avenue near Grant Elementary and Colton Middle <br />schools; and <br />WHEREAS, the State requires that Administering Agency -Federal Master Agreement <br />No. 08-5065R (Master Agreement) and the Program Supplement Agreement No. 006-N <br />(Program Supplement Agreement) be fully executed by the City and the State before any <br />invoices for reimbursement can be processed; and <br />WHEREAS, the State requires that the City adopt and attach a resolution identifying <br />the project and the official authorized to execute the Master Agreement and Program <br />Supplement Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Colton does <br />hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Administering Agency -Federal Master <br />Agreement No. 08-5065R and Program Supplement Agreement No. 006-N for the <br />improvements of Valencia Drive, Laurel Street, Bonita Drive, Oak Street, Norman Road, and <br />Pennsylvania Avenue near Grant Elementary and Colton Middle schools. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 18th DAY OF NOVEMBER 2008. <br />ATTEST: KA I <br />KELLY J.
