R-133-08 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA TO <br />ADOPT 1) AN UPDATED FY 0809 TWO YEAR MEASURE "P' CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM AND 2) REDIRECT FUNDS TOTALING $110,000 FROM THE CITYWIDE <br />STRIPING PROJECT TO THE PAUL J ROGERS DROP OFF ZONE PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, San Bernardino County voters approved passage of Measure I in November 1989 <br />authorizing San Bernardino Associated Governments, acting as the San Bernardino County <br />Transportation Authority, to impose a one-half of one percent retail transactions and use tax applicable <br />in the incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino; and <br />WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation improvement and traffic <br />management programs authorized in the Expenditure Plans set forth in Ordinance No. 89-1 of the <br />Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance require each local jurisdiction receiving <br />revenue from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to a Capital Improvement Program and a Twenty - <br />Year Transportation Plan adopted by resolution of the local jurisdiction; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO <br />HEREBY RESOLVE that the City of Colton, State of California, hereby adopts the Updated Two <br />Year Measure I Capital Improvement Plan (Exhibit "A"), incorporated herein by reference and <br />redirects funds from the Citywide Striping Project to the Paul J Roger Drop-off Zone Project as <br />follows: <br />1. Decrease account 450-0902-6970-3890 by $110,000 <br />2. Increase account 450-0916-6970-3890 by $110,000 <br />• PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 2nd DAY OF DECEMBER, 2008. <br />KELLY J.
