RESOLUTION NO. R-136-08 <br />1 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO ACCEPT <br />A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000.00 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />3 DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, FOR THE CITIZEN OPTION FOR PUBLIC SAFETY <br />4 (COPS) AND AMEND THE 2008/2009 FISCAL BUDGET. <br />5 WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />6 2008, and ending June 30, 2009, was approved and adopted June 17, 2008; and <br />7 <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />8 <br />9 City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />10 WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Justice will award a grant in the <br />11 amount of $100,000.00 to the City of Colton Police Department for the Citizen Option of Public <br />12 <br />13 Safety; and <br />14 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />15 RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />16 <br />SECTION 1: It is necessary to approve and accept this State of California, Department of <br />17 <br />18 Justice COPS grant in the amount of $100,000.00 to the Revenue Account 225-5890-000 <br />19 SECTION 2: It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2008/2009 Fiscal Year Budget, <br />20 appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6088-4930 for $100,000.00 <br />21 <br />SECTION 3: The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated herein. <br />22 <br />23 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 16'x' day of December, 2008. <br />24 <br />25 !Kelly J. ith9stain, Mayor <br />26 ATTEST: <br />27 <br />28 Eileen C.
