RESOLUTION NO. R-15-08 <br />1 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />2 <br />ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,264.00 FROM THE CALIFORNIA <br />3 GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND AMEND THE <br />2007/2008 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET. <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing <br />6 July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2008, was approved and adopted; and <br />7 <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances <br />8 <br />9 and the City and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />10 WHEREAS, on December 31, 2007, the California Governor's Office of Homeland <br />11 Security awarded a grant in the amount of $44,264.00 to the City of Colton Police <br />12 <br />Department for the purchase of equipment and supplies that would enhance the Police <br />13 <br />14 Department's preparedness to prevent, protect, respond, and recover from terrorist threats <br />15 and attacks. <br />16 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />17 DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />18 SECTION 1: It is necessary to approve and accept this CALIFORNIA <br />19 GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY OFFICE GRANT in the amount <br />of $44,264.00 to the Revenue Account 225-5880-000. <br />20 <br />21 SECTION 2: It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2007/2008 Fiscal Year <br />Budget, appropriating funs to account number 225-6070-6078-4930 for $44,264.00. <br />22 <br />23 SECTION 3: The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 2008. <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 KELLY ASTAIN, Mayor <br />ATT <br />27 _ <br />28 <br />CAROLINA R.
