R-21-08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AUTHORIZE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF <br />FAIRWAY DRIVE BETWEEN SOUTH AUTO PLAZA <br />DRIVE TO CAMINO REAL STREET FOR THE PARKING <br />LOT EXPANSION PROJECT AT 1630 FAIRWAY DRIVE. <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a request from A -Cone Zone Inc and submitted a <br />traffic control plan for temporary closure of Fairway Drive from South Auto Plaza Drive to <br />Camino Real Street; dates of the temporary closure requested are February 20, 2008 through <br />February 24, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges that the temporary full closure of Fairway <br />Drive, between South Auto Plaza Drive and Camino Real Street, is necessary to protect the public <br />health, safety and welfare during the development project; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />agrees to the following: <br />1. Authorize the dates of temporary full closure of Fairway Drive between <br />South Auto Plaza Drive to Camino Real Street, beginning February 20, 2008 through February <br />24, 2008. <br />2. Signs identifying the dates of the temporary closure and indicating the <br />detour route to be used shall be posed to inform the public. <br />3. This action is categorically exempt pursuant to Section 15301 of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") Guidelines as there is no evidence that such <br />temporary closure shall have a significant impact on the environment. <br />-1- <br />
