R-37-08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ACCEPTING THE FEMA EMERGENCY FOOD & <br />SHELTER PROGRAM GRANT AND AMENDING THE <br />BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2007 <br />AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2008 <br />WHEREAS, The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program <br />(EFSP) is a federal program administered by the US Department of Homeland <br />Security — Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and has been entrusted <br />through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (PL 100-77) to supplement <br />and expand on going efforts to provide shelter, food, and supportive services for the <br />nations hungry, homeless, and people in economic crisis, and; <br />WHEREAS, The City of Colton has been awarded a grant through this <br />program for the fiscal year July 1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2008, and; <br />WHEREAS, This program will allow the Colton Community Services <br />Department to provide families in need with grocery vouchers to assist them during <br />times of crisis. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton, San Bernardino County, <br />California accepts grant funding for the Federal Emergency Food & Shelter Program <br />(EFSP) for the amount of $2500 for Food and Diaper Vouchers. Therefore, it will be <br />necessary to make an amendment to the 2007-08 fiscal year budget, increasing <br />expenditure account 225-6200-6200-2307 and increasing revenue account 225-5880 <br />each by the grant amount of $2,500. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 6t" of May 2008 <br />jf KELLY J.
