R-56-10 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON NAMING A BALL FIELD AT <br />VETERAN'S PARK IN HONOR OF CAMILO <br />CARREON <br />WHEREAS, City Council Resolution R-86-09 sets forth policy for the application <br />process to attach a name to City parks, park features, and community facilities, and the <br />processing of such applications, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City has received such an application, which has been processed in <br />accordance with Resolution R-86-09, and; <br />WHEREAS, this application calls for the naming of a ball field at the sports complex <br />within Veteran's Park, in honor of Camilo Carreon, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Recreation & Parks Commission, in consideration of this <br />application at their meeting of July 21, 2010, voted 5-0 in favor of the recommendation as <br />called -for in this application, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received this application, as well as the supporting <br />recommendation of the Recreation & Parks Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby declares that the <br />southeastern -most ball field within Veteran's Park shall be named "Camilo Carreon Field." <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 2010. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
