R-54-18 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017/2018 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's <br />traffic safety and infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton received Federal Highway Safety Improvement <br />Program (HSIP) funding through Caltrans for the Mount Vernon Avenue Corridor Traffic <br />Signal Upgrade Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton received additional HSIP funding for the Mount <br />Vernon Avenue Corridor Traffic Signal Upgrade Project in the amount of $63,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton needs to allocate additional funding from Traffic <br />Impact Fee in the amount of $189,843 to complete Mount Vernon Avenue Corridor <br />Traffic Signal Upgrade Project; and <br />WHEREAS, a budget appropriation not listed in the 2017-2018 Fiscal Year <br />budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />budget: <br />Section 2 The City Council authorizes the following amendment for the FYI 7-18 <br />• Increase revenues by $63,000 in account number 225-5886-002; and <br />• Appropriate $63,000 in account number 225-1508-6150-3890-0000 for the <br />Mount Vernon Avenue Corridor Traffic Signal Upgrade Project; and <br />
