1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-50-18 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />3 CALIFORNIA INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNUAL LEVY OF <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COLTON LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING <br />4 MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />5 2018/2019. <br />6 WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California, and; <br />7 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, California has, by previous Resolutions, <br />8 formed the Colton Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District No. 2 ("District") <br />pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 of Division 15 of the <br />9 Streets and Highways Code of California, beginning with Section 22500 ("Act"), that provides for levy <br />and collection of assessments by the County of San Bernardino for the City of Colton to pay the <br />10 maintenance and services of street lighting, landscaping, and all appurtenant facilities and operations <br />11 related thereto. <br />12 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO HEREBY <br />13 RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />14 1. The description of the District boundary and the Zones therein are outlined in the Engineer's <br />Report and by reference is made part of this Resolution. The District consists of two (2) Benefit <br />15 Zones. The District is designated as "Colton Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Assessment <br />16 District No. 2." <br />17 2. The improvements within the District include but are not limited to: turf, ground cover, shrubs, <br />trees, irrigation systems, weed abatement, drainage systems, and associated appurtenances. The <br />18 Engineer's Report describes all new improvements or substantial changes in existing <br />improvements. <br />19 <br />3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the <br />20 same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of passage and <br />21 adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes <br />of the meeting at which Resolution is passed and adopted. <br />22 <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 5` day of June, 2018. <br />23 ^ <br />24 <br />RICHARD A.
