R-61-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2018, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law cities in the State of California, a General Municipal Election shall be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, for the election of certain Municipal Officers; and, WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it is necessary for the City to request services of the County of San Bernardino; and, WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall be paid by the City of Colton. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California relating to General Law cities within the State, there is called and ordered held in the City of Colton, California, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, a General Municipal Election of the qualified electors of the City, to be consolidated with the General Election, for the purpose of voting on and/or electing the following: A. District 1 Councilmember for full term of four years B. District 2 Councilmember for full term of four years C. District 4 Councilmember for full tern of four years D. Mayor, at large, for full tern of four years SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used for this election shall be, in form and content, such as may be required by law. // //
