R-102-18 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ADOPTING CHANGES TO THE <br />REORGANIZATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AND <br />WATER, WASTEWATER DIVISIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Authorized Positions List and Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2018-19 <br />were approved by City Council on June 5, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the Authorized Positions List and the Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2018- <br />19 were amended by City Council during the annual budget process on June 5, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, Administrative Policy 4.05.340 (Policy) was established to provide a uniform <br />and effective progression from entry/training to journey level positions. The Policy includes a <br />list of entry-level positions that are eligible for journey level classification. The was last updated <br />on May 2, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the reorganization, revisions are required to the Fiscal Year <br />2018-19 Authorized Positions List and Salary Schedules to accurately reflect position titles; and <br />WHEREAS, revisions are required to Administrative Policy 4.05.340 to update the list <br />of entry level positions that are eligible for journey level reclassification, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby resolve the following: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2018-19 <br />Authorized Positions List to incorporate the approved organizational <br />changes in the Public Works and Water/Wastewater Division as attached in <br />Exhibit A. <br />Section 2. The City Council hereby amends the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Salary <br />Schedule as attached in Exhibit B. <br />Section 3. The City Council hereby approves the revisions to <br />Administrative Policy 4.05.340 as attached in ExhibitC. <br />Section 4. The positions identified in the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Authorized <br />Positions List are hereby authorized for funding, and any vacancies are hereby <br />authorized for recruitment and appointment in accordance with the City's <br />Personnel System Rules and Regulations. <br />2811 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2151 day of August 2018. <br />
