R-103-18 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING- THE PURCHASE OF A NEW FIRE <br />ENGINE FROM KOVATCH MOBILE EQUIMENT FOR <br />$637,877.02 <br />WHEREAS: The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />2018 and ending June 30, 2019 was approved by the City Council and adopted by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: The current budget includes funding for the lease purchase of a new fire <br />engine to replace the 1990 Beck fire engine; and <br />WHEREAS: During the budget workshops this year, Council approved the first year's <br />debt service for the purchase of a new fire engine; and <br />WHEREAS: The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City and applicable statues of the State; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Authorize the City to piggyback on the County of San Bernardino's bid <br />award for the purchase of a new 2019 Kovach Motor Equipment (KME) Predator Severe <br />Service Pumper with equipment for a total cost of $637,877.02. The annual 5-year <br />lease/purchase payment is $140,288.55 with the first lease payment of $140,288.55 being <br />due October 1, 2019 and the final payment of $114,127.69 being due on October 1, 2024. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4t' day of September, 2018. <br />ATTEST: RICHARD A.
