CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL Councilmembers present were, Mayor Pro Tem Toro (appeared at 5:05 p.m.), Navarro, González, Woods, Suchil, and Mayor DeLaRosa. (District 2/VACANT) STAFF PRESENT City Manager Smith, City Attorney Campos, and City Clerk Padilla. PUBLIC COMMENT None CLOSED SESSION City Attorney Campos announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Item A and B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – POTENTIAL LITIGATION Significant Exposure to Litigation Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (d)(2)/(e)(1) One Potential Case CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 Agency designated representatives: Bill Smith, City Manager and Stacey Dabbs, Finance Director Employee Groups: General Unit and Mid-Management Unit Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:01 p.m. and at 6:08 p.m., the meeting reconvened, with all members present heretofore. City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council met in Closed Session regarding Item A and B with direction to staff and no reportable action; City Attorney Campos further announced reportable action on two items from the August 1, 2017 Closed Session Agenda that have now become final: A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – EXISTING LITIGATION Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) Martin Ragels v. City of Colton WCAB Case No. ADJ10220567 Reportable Action: On a 5-0 vote with Mayor DeLaRosa not present, the Council approved a Workers Compensation settlement in the amount of $28,855.00.
