MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 15, 2017. GIFT DISCLOSURES Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant <br />to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the expense of the City. <br />(GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. APPOINTMENTS Reappointment of League of California Cities Primary Voting Delegate (9/13 – 15, 2017) Mayor called for the nomination of name(s) <br />for Primary Voting Delegate; none were presented for consideration. MAYOR AND COUNCIL DISCUSSION ITEMS Street Sweeping Enforcement David Kolk, Utilities Director, presented an update <br />regarding Street Sweeping Enforcement; approximately five weeks ago the enforcement process began. Discussion continued with Councilmembers present which included notification to residents; <br />issuing tickets vs. non-issuing of tickets based on the need for vehicles to be moved: each side on different days vs. street sweeping both sides of the street as posted. Final resolution <br />as discussed is to leave the enforcement as noticed and appropriate enforcement under the direction of the Colton Police Department. Possible revisit the program after several months; <br />based on the level of complaints; look at changes in the program. Discussion & Possible Direction to Staff Regarding Annexation of Cal-Portland Cement Property Mark Tomich, Development <br />Services Director, presented to Council for direction to staff regarding annexation of Cal-Portland Cement property, including adjacent properties not owned by Cal-Portland. Discussion <br />with general consensus by Councilmembers present that staff is directed to initiate discussions with County; meet with LAFCO staff regarding the annexation process; and meet with property <br />owners regarding their concurrence with the annexation; when all of the above is completed staff is to return and present their findings. PUBLIC COMMENT The following community members <br />addressed the Council: Terry Boykins/Jatori Harris, and Erika Flores of the Office of Representative Pete Aguilar. CONSENT CALENDAR Mayor DeLaRosa presents the Consent Calendar Items <br />1 through 5.
