Motion and Second by CM Suchil/CM González to approve staff’s recommendation and approve and adopt <br />Resolution No. R-65-17. Vote: Motion carried. Conveyance of certain real property (APN No. 0160-241-045) TIME AND PLACE FIXED TO CONSIDER A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE CONVEYANCE <br />OF THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG LAUREL AVENUE (APN NO. 0160-241-045) TO THERMAL COMBUSTION INNOVATORS INC. (THOMAS HAYWARD) PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE, SECTION <br />37420 ET SEQ. Mayor DeLaRosa declared the Public Hearing Open. City Clerk Padilla submitted the Affidavit of Publication (on file in the City Clerk’s Office) and there were no protests <br />or objections thereto. Staff Presentation David Kolk, Utilities Director, presented for Council consideration an overview of the agenda report and requested approval of staff’s recommendation. PUBL <br />IC COMMENT None Motion and Second by CM Woods/CM Navarro to close the Public Hearing. Vote: Motion carried. Motion and Second by CM Woods/CM González to approve staff’s recommendation. Vote: <br />Motion carried. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ORAL REPORTS AND COMMENTS Comments from Mayor and Council on various issues and activities throughout the community. CITY MANAGER’S REPORTS City Manager <br />Smith informed Council as it related to the Public Hearing for the Solid Waste increase in fees set for September 19, 2017; the Utilities Commission requested the opportunity to meet <br />the hauler and review their proposal at the Utilities Commission Meeting on September 11, 2017; and to allow the Commission to present their recommendation to Council as part of the <br />Public Hearing report; no objection by the Councilmembers present. The City website has a news portion that will be utilized to inform the community in a response format on citizens <br />inquires and their items of interest.
