2017 SEPTEMBER 14 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA SPECIAL MEETING - 2 - <br />Mayor continued with comments related to team building; he spoke to the candidates and <br />reviewed the minutes of the meeting; in addition stated the continued multiple requests related to <br />services in District 2; and concluded with the possible election cost for an April 2018 special <br />election vs. November 2018 regular general election. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa nominated the name of Ernest R. Cisneros to fill the City Council seat for <br />vacancy for District 2. <br /> <br />City Clerk Padilla began the sequence to obtain a consensus for appointment; asking each <br />Councilmember present for a positive or negative support for the nominee Ernest R. Cisneros. <br /> <br />Appointment ratified with five Councilmembers supporting the nomination of Ernest R. <br />Cisneros; CM Toro indicating: NO. <br /> <br />1. Approve to rescind Resolution No. R-66-17, calling for the holding of a special <br />municipal election to be held in the City on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, to fill a vacancy of <br />an elective office, if an appointment is made. <br /> <br />Motion and Second by Mayor DeLaRosa/CM Navarro to rescind Resolution No. R-66-17. <br />Vote: Motion carried with MPT Toro voting NO. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 5:28 p.m., Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the Special Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> _________________________________________________________________________ <br />Carolina R.
