2017 NOVEMBER 29 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING <br /> <br />JOINT SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF COLTON CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />AND <br />CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />November 29, 2017 <br /> <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given a Special Meeting of the City <br />Council/Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton/Colton Utility <br />Authority/Colton Public Financing Authority and Colton Housing Authority and the City <br />Council for the City of Riverside was held on the above given date at 6:00 p.m., Riverside <br />Convention Center, 3637 Fifth Street, City of Riverside, Mayor DeLaRosa and Mayor Bailey <br />presiding. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The joint meeting with the Cities of Riverside and Colton was called to order at 6 p.m., with <br />Mayor Bailey presiding and City of Colton Mayor De La Rosa and Councilmembers Cisneros, <br />Gonzalez, Woods, Suchil, and Toro present and Councilmember Navarro absent. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Bailey, Mayor De La Rosa, and San Bernardino County Supervisor Josie Gonzales <br />presented opening remarks. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Shirley Ferrante spoke regarding seniors, shelters, housing, and homelessness. Gerald Katz <br />spoke regarding expansion of parklands and need for a park in the Riverside Northside <br />Neighborhood. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br /> <br />SANTA ANA RIVER CONSERVANCY - RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITY <br />Following discussion and without formal action, the City Councils received and ordered filed the <br />report on the Santa Ana River Conservancy and potential recreational opportunities. Mayor <br />Bailey proposed planning of a joint recreational event along the Santa Ana River and Mayor De <br />La Rosa committed to a more active role in the Santa Ana River Conservancy advisory group <br />and to discuss coordination of recreational events along the Santa Ana River. <br /> <br /> <br />
