2017DECEMBER 05 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 5 - <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />(8) Appeal – File Index No. DAP-001-459 (Discussion and action prior to approval of Consent Calendar) <br /> <br />BUSINESS ITEMS <br /> <br />(9) Waive full reading, read by title only and introduce an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of <br />Colton Amending Portions of Chapter 18.58 of Title 15 of the Colton Municipal Code relating to <br />Administration of the City’s Zoning Code, ORDINANCE NO. O-13-17. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation <br />City Attorney Campos, presented for Council consideration/action as outlined in staff’s recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion and Second by CM Suchil/CM Navarro to waive full reading, read by title only and introduce <br />Ordinance No. O-13-17. <br />Vote: Motion carried with MTP Toro absent. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ORAL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />Comments from Mayor and Council on various issues and activities throughout the community. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORTS <br />Smith: (Informational) <br />(1) As Council instructed as to the combination of Planning Commission and Historical Commission; staff <br />will return with an Ordinance for Council approval; <br />(2) After approval of 2nd reading/Cannabis approved at tonight’s agenda; ad hoc committee will come back <br />together to continued discussion and return additional items for approval by Council; and <br />(3) Council Meeting of January 2nd a possibility of going dark; staff has been directed to use as much of the <br />2nd meeting of December and 2nd Meeting in January for agenda items for approval; and if there is an <br />immediate need for a January 2nd meeting, council will be notified. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 8:08 p.m., Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the Regular Council Meeting in memory of CM Navarro’s sister-in- <br />law, Margie Ramirez; and adjourned to Closed Session. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION (con’t) <br />City Attorney Campos announce the City Council would continue to Closed Session for continued discussion of <br />Item A. <br /> <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />Significant Exposure to Litigation, Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(4) <br />One (1) Potential Case <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 8:09 p.m. and at 9:23 p.m., the meeting <br />reconvened, with all members present heretofore. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council met in Closed Session and discussed Item A; direction <br />to staff and no reportable action. <br /> <br /> <br />
