2017DECEMBER 19 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 3 - <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br /> <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the <br />expense of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br /> Request for letter of support to be sent to San Bernardino County LAFCO regarding a sphere of <br />influence amendment to add approximately 209 acres located East of the City of Colton’s Easterly <br />boundary, currently within the City of Loma Linda, into the Cit y of Colton’s sphere of influence. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa introduced the above-mentioned item for discussion and possible consensus to go forward <br />with a letter of support to be sent to San Bernardino County LAFCO. <br /> <br />Review of the documentation as to the wording on the sample letter Re: Support for Sphere of Influence <br />Amendment to LAFCO on Page 25 of the Agenda Packet. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Heather Tutton, and Sam Tutton. <br /> <br />Full consensus with no objection by Councilmembers present to submit a letter of support to LAFCO for a <br />sphere of influence amendment. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa requested Item 19, BUSINESS ITEM, be brought forward for discussion and action; <br />consensus by Councilmembers present; no objection; so recognized. <br /> <br />BUSINESS ITEMS <br /> <br />(19) Approve the proposed increase to the Solid Waste Rates. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation <br />Utility Director David Kolk presented for Council consideration and action related to an increase to the Solid <br />Waste Rates; with the assistance of a PowerPoint presentation: ‘Proposed CR&R Municipal Solid Waste <br />Increase’; in conclusion outlined the staff recommendation. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br /> <br />Motion and Second by CM González/CM Woods to approve an increase to the Solid Waste Rates. <br />Vote: Motion carried with CM Navarro/CM Suchil voting: NO. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: J.T.
