R-19-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO PROCLAIM LOCAL EMERGENCY DUE TO THE <br />DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY WELL 15 AND 17. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City");; and <br />WHEREAS, On April 13, 2017, Well 15 was taken off-line due to sever <br />vibration, and Well 17 is currently out of service for rehabilitation; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.28 and Section <br />3.08.130, the City Council can declare Local Emergency to facilitate immediate repair of <br />Well 15 and 17. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />Section 2 The City Council authorizes the proclamation of Local Emergency due <br />to the damages sustained by Well 15 and 17. <br />ATTEST: <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18a' day of April, 2017. <br />Carolina R.
