R-21-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING <br />ACCEPTING PAYMENT FROM CALRECYCLE <br />PROGRAM AND AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR <br />2016/17 REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES <br />WHEREAS, It is recommended that the Colton City Council; (1) approve <br />Resolution R-21-17 accepting payment of $13,779 from the CalRecycle Program and <br />amend the Fiscal Year 2016/17 revenues and expenditures for the same amount, and 2) <br />authorize the City Manager to approve the reallocation of appropriations of unexpended <br />funds between departmental activities; and <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 48000 et seq., CalRecycle <br />has established various payment programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions. <br />CalRecycle distributes and awards funds annually to eligible cities and counties <br />specifically for beverage container recycling and litter cleanup activities for cities that are <br />eligible; and <br />WHEREAS, CalRecycle's City County Payment programs are to reach and <br />maintain an 80 percent recycling rate for all California Refund Value (CRV) beverage <br />containers which includes the following: aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal; and <br />WHEREAS, the updated Resolution No. R -XX -17 will authorize expenditures of <br />CalRecycle City County Payment funds for the use of recycling education to the <br />community and recycling bins where needed in City Parks or City facilities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: that the City of Colton is accepting <br />payment from CalRecycle Program; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, amend the Fiscal year 2016/17 revenues and <br />expenditures for the same amount; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, authorize the City Manager to approve the reallocation <br />of appropriations of unexpended funds between departmental activities; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, increase the revenues and expenditures for the <br />CA1Recycle programs as follows: <br />
