R-26-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017 BUDGET AND ACCEPT THE CITY LAW ENFORCEMENT (BSCC) GRANT. WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017 was approved and adopted; and WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and WHEREAS, on April 5, 2017 the City Law Enforcement (BSCC) Grant was awarded to the Colton Police Department in the amount of $78,307. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DECLARED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Colton, California, as follows: Section 1. Accept the 2016 City Law Enforcement Grant (BSCC) and its accompanying descriptive information in the amount of $78,307. Section 2. Amend the FY 2016/2017 budget to increase Revenue Account 225- 5890-016 in the amount of $78,307 from BSCC Grant funding for Colton Police Department to assist high risk populations. Increase to be disbursed in the following expenditure accounts. 225-6070-7003-1160-0000-017 ($30,000) Training of Officers, 225-6070-7003-2280-0000-017 ($15,307) Field Trips and related expenses, 225-6070- 7003-2301-0000-017 ($26,000) Uniforms for participants, PT gear for participants, portable exercise equipment, belts, hygiene supplies, SIMS, School Materials, Storage container for equipment, etc., 225-6070-7003-2341-0000-017 ($2,000) Advertisement materials, and 225-6070-7003-2350-0000-017 ($5,000) Compensation for counselors/chaplains.
