RESOLUTION NO. R-36-17 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON, 2 CALIFORNIA FOR PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF THE 3 ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE COLTON LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 FOR 4 FISCAL YEAR 2017/2018. 5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and 6 existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California, and; 7 8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, California has, by previous 9 Resolutions, ordered the preparation of the Fiscal Year 2017/2018 Engineer's Annual Levy 10 Report ("Engineer's Report") for the Colton Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Assessment 11 District No. 2 ("District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 12 1972, Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of California, beginning with 13 14 Section 22500 ("Act"), and; 15 WHEREAS, there has now been presented to this City Council the Engineer's Report 16 as required by Chapter 1, Article 4, Section 22566 of said Act, and; 17 WHEREAS, this City Council has examined and reviewed the Engineer's Report as 18 presented, and is preliminarily satisfied with the District, each and all of the budget items and 19 20 documents as set forth therein, and is satisfied that the assessments, have been spread in 21 accordance with the special benefits received from the improvements, operation, maintenance 22 and services to be performed within each Benefit Zone of the District, as set forth in said 23 Engineer's Report. 24 25 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY 26 THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT, AS FOLLOWS: 27 1.
