R-50-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CONTRACT CSPP- <br />7421 FOR THE PROVISION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE SERVICES IN THE <br />EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018. <br />WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Education has approved the State <br />Preschool Contract CSPP-7421 for fiscal year 2017-2018; and <br />WHEREAS, this contract will provide $494,083 of funding to enable the City of Colton to <br />provide preschool childcare services to approximately 114 Colton families. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted as findings, <br />and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: City Council approves the State of California Contract CSPP-7421, for the provision <br />of preschool childcare services through the Community Services Department. <br />Section 3: The City Manager, as the Executive Director of the program, is hereby authorized <br />to sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City to execute this contract. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 2017. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
