R-54-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF THE <br />AMENDED CHAPTERS 1 THOUGH 5, CHAPTER 13, AND <br />APPENDICES OF THE 2015 SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY <br />REGIONAL URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the California Urban Water Management Planning Act, Water Code <br />Section 10610 et. seq. (the Act), mandates that every urban supplier of water providing water for <br />municipal purposes to more than 3,000 customers or supplying more than 3,000 acre feet of <br />water annually, prepare an Urban Water Management Plan (Plan); and, <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires that said Plan be updated and adopted at least once every <br />five years on or before December 31, in years ending in five and zero; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is an urban water supplier for purposes of the Act; and, <br />WHEREAS, under SBX7-7, an "urban retail water supplier" is defined as a water <br />supplier that directly provides potable municipal water to more than 3,000 end users or that <br />supplies more than 3,000 acre-feet of potable water annually at retail for municipal purposes, <br />and an "urban wholesale water supplier" is defined as a water supplier that provides more than <br />3,000 acre-feet of water annually at wholesale for potable municipal purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, for purposes of its 2015 Plan, the City of Colton meets the definition of an <br />urban retail water supplier; and, <br />WHEREAS, the amended Chapters 1 through 5, Chapter 13, and appendices of the 2015 <br />San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan prepared at the direction of San <br />Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, the City of Colton, East Valley Water District, the <br />City of Loma Linda, the City of Redlands, the City of San Bernardino, West Valley Water <br />District, and Yucaipa Valley Water District (hereafter "AGENCIES"); and, <br />-1- <br />
