I RESOLUTION NO. R-21-16 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON 3 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO APPROMATE AND ADJUST THE BUDGET FOR THE SEISMIC 4 RETROFIT PROJECT: BRIDGE NO. 54C-0078 (5065-015), RIDGE NO. 54C-0079 (5065-016), BRIDGE NO. 54C-0375 (5065-018), BRIDGE NO. 54C-0384 (5065-019) 5 AND BRIDGE NO. 54C-0599 (5065-020) 6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the safety of the 7 bridges within City jurisdiction; and 8 9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has received a Highway Bridge 10 Program (HBP) and Proposition 113 funding to complete the Construction Phase of Seismic I I Retrofit for Bridges No. 54C-0078 (STPLZ 5065-015), 54C-0079 (STPLZ 5065-016), 54C- 12 0375 (STPLZ 5065-018), 54C-0384 (STPLZ 5065-019) AND 54C-0599 (STPLZ 5065-020); 13 and 14 15 WHEREAS, SAFETEA-LU 23 U.S.C. 144(d) made States eligible to use Federal 16 Highway Bridge Program (HBP) Funds; and 17 WHEREAS, Through the HBP, Caltrans issues grants to owners of local bridges for 18 replacement of structurally deficient or functionally obsolete bridges.; and 19 20 WHEREAS, Funds expended by the City for eligible and approved costs are reimbursable 21 through the HBP funds; and 22 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2015-2016 23 Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 25 CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 26 27 Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are incorporated 28 into this Resolution by reference.
