R-54-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CONTRACT CSPP- <br />6399 FOR THE PROVISION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE SERVICES IN THE <br />EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 <br />WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Education has approved the State <br />Preschool Contract CSPP-6399 for fiscal year 2016-17; and <br />WHEREAS, this contract will provide $469,944 of funding to enable the City of <br />Colton to provide preschool childcare services to approximately 114 Colton families. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve <br />as follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted <br />as findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: City Council approves the State of California Contract CSPP-6399, for <br />the provision of preschool childcare services through the Community Services Department. <br />Section 3: The City Manager, as the Executive Director of the program, is hereby <br />authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City to execute this contract. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2151 day of June, 2016. <br />ATTEST: <br />la, '�� <br />CAROLINA R.
