R-71-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />AMEND THE FY16/17 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE EXPENDITURES IN THE <br />DRUG AND GANG PREVENTION FUND. <br />WHEREAS, the budget of the City of Colton for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2016 <br />and ending June 30, 2017 was approved and adopted, and <br />WHEREAS, the approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State, and <br />WHEREAS, on July 19, 2016 the Colton Police Department requested transfer of <br />$13,000 from the City of Colton Asset Seizure Drug and Gang Prevention Fund bank account to <br />the Colton Police Department expenditure accounts, and <br />WHEREAS, these funds are to be used by the Police Department to enhance juvenile <br />intervention program performance, and <br />WHEREAS, use of these funds will include explorer training and competitions, fees and <br />transportation and for field trips, membership dues and insurance, office supplies, and uniform <br />expenses. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DECLARED, DETERMINED AND <br />ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Colton, California, as follows: <br />SECTION 1. Amend the FY16/17 budget to appropriate $13,000 in the Drug and Gang <br />Prevention Fund account number 217-6070-6086-2301 for the CART Academy and City of <br />Colton Explorer Program in accordance with the San Bernardino County Asset Forfeiture Panel <br />approval. <br />SECTION 2. The amendment is hereby approved, adopted, and incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19"' day of July, 2016. <br />Richard A.
