R- 87-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />REIMBURSEMENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE RIVERSIDE URBAN AREA <br />SECURITY INITIATIVE <br />WHEREAS, The US Department of Homeland Security has made funds available <br />through the FY 2015 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to provide resources for training, <br />planning, and exercise needs of select high threat urban areas; and <br />WHEREAS, In order for the City of Colton to be reimbursed for various costs associated <br />with attending training, conferences, and other activities to prepare for terrorist events, the UASI <br />requires certain agreements and forms to be signed by the City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, The UASI requires a Governing Body Resolution in order to authorize the <br />City Manager to execute agreements and other forms on behalf of the City of Colton; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />This Resolution will serve as a Governing Body Resolution approving the City Manager <br />to execute the required agreements and/or documentation with the UASI and California Office of <br />Emergency Services in order to process reimbursement for various training, conferences, and <br />other activities to prepare for terrorist events. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20'' day of September, 2016. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
