R-109-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR A 2016/2017 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's traffic <br />safety and infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton wants to amend the FY16-17 Capital Improvement Plan <br />for the Installation of Traffic Signal at the Intersection of La Cadena Drive/La Loma Avenue <br />Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton wants to allocate Traffic Impact Fee in the amount of <br />$200,000 for the Installation of Traffic Signal at the Intersection of La Cadena Drive/La Loma <br />Avenue Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Traffic Impact Fee is a fee that is imposed by the local government <br />within the United States on a new or proposed development project to pay for all or a portion of <br />the costs of providing public services to the new development; and <br />WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2016-2017 <br />Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />- 1 - <br />
