R-13-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND <br />THE FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET <br />TO APPROPRIATE $170,000 FOR THE MT. VERNON AVE. — WASHINGTON ST. <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the traffic flow <br />and circulation within the City jurisdiction; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton intends to improve the Mt. Vernon Ave. — Washington <br />St. Traffic Signal Corridor (PROJECT) in the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the PROJECT received AB 2766 Mobile Source Reduction Review <br />Committee (MSRC) through the San Bernardino Associated Government (SANBAG), thus <br />providing an opportunity to complete the PROJECT at a relatively low cost to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is willing to participate in funding the required local <br />match (20%) for the PROJECT; and <br />WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2014-2015 <br />Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />Section 2 The City Council authorizes an appropriation of $170,000 that increases the <br />budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 for the following line items: <br />Expenditure account #249-6150-1501-3890-0000-000 -$34,000 (Local Match) <br />Revenue account #214-5742-000 - $136,000 (Grant Revenue) <br />Expenditure account 9214-6150-1501-3890-0000-000 - $136,000 (Grant Expense) <br />Resolution R-13-15 <br />Page I <br />
