2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />U06117111y I IIIiNW01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ALLOCATING FIREWORKS LICENSES FOR CIVIC, <br />YOUTH AND CHURCH GROUPS AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTIONS R-40-96, R-52-11 AND R-52-14. <br />WHEREAS; The City Council has previously approved Resolutions No. R-40-96, R-52- <br />11 and R-52-14, and; <br />WHEREAS; Resolutions No. R-40-96, R 52-11 and R-52-14, established an approved <br />list of civic, youth and church non-profit organizations entitled to be issued a license to operate a <br />fireworks booth and to sell fireworks within the City of Colton, and; <br />WHEREAS; Chapter 6.32 of the Colton Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to <br />authorize by resolution a list of all approved applications for licenses to operate a fireworks booth <br />and to sell "Safe and Sane" fireworks within the City of Colton pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 6.32.060, and; <br />WHEREAS; Section 6.32.060 allows for a maximum of fifteen licenses to be issued by <br />the City and distributed to qualified civic, youth or church organizations, and; <br />WHEREAS; Applications were duly received, reviewed and evaluated by City staff for <br />compliance and approved in accordance with Section 6.32.070 of the Colton Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS; By this resolution, the City Council intends to establish a list of approved <br />organizations entitled to be issued a license to operate a fireworks booth and to sell "Safe and <br />Sane" fireworks within the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Resolutions No. R-40-96, R-52-11 and R-52-14 are repealed in their <br />entirety. <br />SECTION 2. The approved organizations entitled to apply and the allocation <br />arrangement for civic, youth and church groups beginning with the 2015 fireworks selling season <br />
