Upon the retirement of any Police Officer employed by the City of Colton <br />who expresses a desire to purchase his or her service weapon, the Chief of Police shall make a <br />determination, as set forth in policy, whether to issue or deny a request. <br />SECTION 2. The Chief of Police, as set forth in policy, shall allow the sale of a service <br />weapon to an honorably retired Colton Police Officer so long as requirements are met and a Fair <br />Market Price is agreed to. <br />SECTION 3. It is in the public interest to honor a retiree's years of service to the City of <br />Colton by enacting a policy governing qualifying Police Officers to purchase their service <br />weapons. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6`h day of October, 2015. <br />ATTEST: <br />eiw h - <br />Carolina R.
