R-113-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED STREET NAME CHANGE FROM PHILLIP SMITH TO <br />PHILIP SMITH JR. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's traffic <br />safety and infrastructure; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton did make the following findings to justify the <br />proposed street name: <br />1. Public Safety: Approval of the street name change will not create conditions <br />materially detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare, and will have no <br />impacts on the public health, safety and welfare, as reviewed by the City's Public <br />Works Department, the Police Department, and the Fire Department. <br />2. Specific Plan: There are no specific plans affected by the street name change. <br />3. CEQA: The street name change has been determined to be exempt from the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in that the proposed street name <br />change will have no effect on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />
