R-127-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON IN <br />SUPPORT OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF <br />SCHOOL'S "CRADLE TO CAREER ROADMAP". <br />WHEREAS, on October 10, 2013, the Education Element Group of the San <br />Bernardino County Board of Supervisors adopted a "Cradle to Career Roadmap" with ten <br />academic and career readiness success indicators, nine personal and social readiness success <br />indicators, and five pillar of support; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cradle to Career Roadmap is a collective impact approach to ensure <br />that every student has the mindset and disposition for college and career readiness that <br />includes content knowledge, skills, and habits that students must possess to be <br />successful in postsecondary education or training that leads to a sustaining career; and, <br />WHEREAS, this roadmap supports the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors <br />and the San Bernardino Associated Governments County Vision Statement; and, <br />WHEREAS, on February 6, 2014, the Colton Joint Unified School District Board of <br />Education resolved to support the "Cradle to Career Roadmap"; and, <br />WHEREAS, the "Cradle to Career Roadmap" identifies key milestones in a child's <br />academic/career, and personal/social readiness, encouraging partnerships with all sectors of <br />the community to support the goal of meeting the educational needs of all students from <br />cradle to career; and, <br />1 <br />
