R-76-14 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING ACTING CITY MANAGER APPROVED REPAIRS TO <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT LADDER TRUCK <br />WHEREAS, Medic Truck 211, a 2007 KME Ladder Truck, was found to be leaking <br />engine coolant and had difficulty starting in late June 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, The City's contracted repair facility, Fire Apparatus Solutions, found a <br />blown head gasket and other needed repairs; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The cost of the repairs exceeded $25,000 and needed Council approval; <br />WHEREAS, The cost of the repairs was $26,615.43 and could be paid for within the <br />existing approved Fire Department budget; and <br />WHEREAS, The Acting City Manager, after consultation with the Fire Chief, approved <br />the repairs to the ladder truck prior to City Council approval to assure that the Fire Department <br />had access to a ladder truck. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Ratify the completed repairs to the Fire Department ladder truck at a cost of $26,615.43. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 2014. <br />ATTEST <br />3 -1s <br />SABDISANCHEZ <br />Chief Deputy City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
