I RESOLUTION NO. R-98-14 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AUTHORIZE THE INCREASE OF THE FY 2014-15 BUDGET VIA THE ' TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE ASSET SEIZURE BANK ACCOUNT TO 4 THE POLICE DEPARTMENT EXPENDITURE ACCOUNTS. 5 WHEREAS, the budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing 6 July 1, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015 was approved and adopted; and, 7 WHEREAS, the approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances 8 9 of the City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and 10 WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014 the Colton Police Department requests the I I transfer of $210,000 from the City of Colton Asset Seizure bank account to the Colton Police 12 Department expenditure accounts. 13 14 These funds are to be used by the Police Department to provide its employees with the 15 latest equipment and state of the art technology resulting in enhanced performance by officers 16 conducting investigations, traffic collisions, K9 use, and school programs. 17 Purchases to be made using these funds include; One dual purpose trained police 18 service dog, one police K9 vehicle, one utility truck and other related equipment for the 19 department's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT), and one school resource officer 20 21 vehicle; and, 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF 23 THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 24 Section 1 Transfer of funds from the City of Colton Asset Seizure bank account to 25 26 the Colton Police Department Expenditure Accounts in the amount of $210,000. 27 Increase expenditure accounts 261-6070-6083-2301, 261-6070-6083-1160, 261- 28 6070-6083-4910, 261-6070-6083-4930 in the amounts of $44,000, $8,000, $98,000 and $60,000 respectively resulting in a total of $210,000.
