R-62-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, ESTABLISHING A SEPARATE FUND FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC DONATIONS FOR CITYWIDE BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") desires to promote programs that improve the community's image and foster community pride within the City; and WHEREAS, on June 18, 2013 the City Council approved the new FY 2013-14 budget., which included funding for beautification programs; and WHEREAS, on June 25, 2013, following approval of the budget, the City's Beautification Committee met and discussed Colton beautification programs, volunteer efforts, equipment needed, donated equipment and the need to supplement and separate these funds from the City's general funds; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to establish the "Citywide - Colton Pride" campaign, which will be promoted to the community seeking volunteers, cleanup equipment and supplies as well as donations for the clean-up programs; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to establish a fund account, in which to place donations received to the "Citywide - Colton Pride" campaign for the purpose of the City's beautification programs, which will be held separate from the general fund. The account number is 762-2313-000 — Colton Beautification Program. BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby finds and determines that the Recitals of this Resolution are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as though fully set forth herein. 2. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby establishes the "Citywide - Colton Pride" campaign as a City Beautification Program and hereby creates a separate fund account for receipt of donations (the "Citywide - Colton Pride Fund Account"). 3. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby dedicates the net revenues it receives from donations to the "Citywide - Colton Pride" campaign to the "Citywide - Colton Pride" campaign.
