R-67-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2013/2014 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE $304,420 FOR THE SOUTH COLTON DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the drainage system and street infrastructure within the City jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the City of Colton intends to improve the South Colton drainage system at La Loma Avenue and Rosedale Avenue (PROJECT) in the City of Colton; and WHEREAS, the PROJECT received federal grants through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — Pre -Disaster Mitigation Program, thus providing an opportunity to complete the PROJECT at a relatively low cost to the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Colton is willing to participate in funding the required twenty- five percent (25%) for the PROJECT; and WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2013-2014 Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are incorporated into this Resolution by reference. Section 2 The City Council authorizes an appropriation of $304,420. As an adjustment to the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 budget as follows: Increase revenue account 225-5886-000 in the amount of $200,000. Increase expenditure account 225-1000-1000-5993-0004-450 in the amount of $200,000. Increase revenue account 450-5993-225 in the amount of $200,000.
