RESOLUTION NO. R-12-12 <br />1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />2 CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND DISPOSAL SERVICE RATES FOR FISCAL <br />3 YEAR 2012/2013. <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />6 <br />7 WHEREAS, the City Council has by previous action entered into a service <br />agreement with Republic Services for the collection and disposal of residential and <br />8 commercial waste within the City of Colton. <br />9 WHEREAS, annual rates are adjusted to include any increases to the local CPI <br />10 and San Bernardino County disposal fees. <br />11 WHEREAS, the service rates for fiscal year 2012/2013 have been included as <br />Exhibit A to this Resolution. <br />12 <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE <br />13 CITY COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS: <br />14 <br />1. The above recitals are true and correct. <br />15 <br />2. Intention: The City Council hereby declares its intention to provide and collect <br />16 fees for solid waste collection services provided to all record owners within the City, <br />17 described in Section 3 of this Resolution, for Fiscal Year 2012/2013. <br />18 3. Description of Services: The services within the City include but are not limited <br />to: trash collection, trash disposal, yard waste collection and processing, recycle <br />19 collection and processing, and bulky -item collection. <br />20 4. Public Hearing: The City Council hereby declares its intention to conduct a <br />21 Public Hearing concerning the fiscal year 2012/2013 solid waste collection rates. <br />The public hearing will be held not less than forty-five (45) days after the City mails <br />22 notice of the public hearing as provided for in (6) below. <br />23 5. Public Hearing Date: Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on these <br />24 matters will be held by the City Council on September 18, 2012 at 6:00 pm, or as <br />soon thereafter as feasible in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 650 North La <br />25 Cadena Drive, Colton, CA. <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />1 <br />
