R-36-12 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />AWARDING THE 5 YEAR LEASE OF 25 CANON COPY MACHINES TO CANON <br />BUSINESS SOLUTIONS, INC AND THE FINANCING OF THE LEASE TO CANON <br />FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC.. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton (the "City") has determined that it is in <br />the best interest of the City to enter into a Lease Agreement (the "Lease Agreement') relating to the <br />lease of a Canon Copiers for various departments city-wide (the "Equipment'); and; <br />WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement provides generally for the lease of the Equipment by the <br />City from Canon Financial Services, Inc; and the payment by the City to Canon Financial Services, <br />Inc; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to lease the Equipment, it is necessary that the City enter into the Lease <br />Agreement; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The above recitals are true and correct. <br />2. Annroval of the Lease Contract for Equipment: Entering into a 5 -year lease for the Equipment is <br />hereby approved. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to act on behalf of the City to <br />establish and determine the amount of the lease contract in an amount which shall not exceed $3,265 <br />per month for 60 months. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th DAY OF AUGUST 2012. <br />I/ L <br />SARAlf S.
