R-52-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ALLOCATING FIREWORKS LICENSES FOR YOUTH <br />GROUPS AND REPEALING RESOLUTION R-36-99. <br />WHEREAS: The City approved Resolution No. R-36-99 on May 4, 1999; and <br />WHEREAS: Resolution No. R-36-99, established an approved method of allocating the <br />fireworks booths for the approved youth groups entitled to be issued a license to operate a <br />fireworks booth and to sell fireworks within the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS: the youth group known as Colton T -Ball has decided not to operate a <br />fireworks booth this year; and <br />WHEREAS: representatives from all the approved youth groups were polled and asked <br />to give their approval for having Colton Youth Soccer and the Colton Boxing Club operate their <br />own fireworks booth for 2011; and <br />WHEREAS: representatives from all the approved youth groups have signed a letter <br />stating their support and acknowledgement that Colton Youth Soccer and Colton Boxing will <br />separate and operate their own fireworks booth for 2011. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Resolution No. R-36-99 is repealed in its entirety. <br />SECTION 2. The allocation arrangement for youth groups for the 2011 fireworks <br />selling season shall be as follows: <br />Fire/Police Explorers <br />Colton Youth Soccer <br />Colton Boxing Club <br />Max Lofy Colton Pony Colt League/Colton High <br />
